Comment les radiologues ont-ils fait face à l'annonce programmée de leur remplacement par l'IA ?

Abstract

Le monde professionnel de la radiologie a été frappé de plein fouet par une prophétie annonçant, dans un délai court, son remplacement massif par l'Intelligence Artificielle. Cet article s'interroge dans un premier temps sur la présence de cette sentence dans la presse professionnelle du domaine, en l'occurrence dans un journal français et un journal américain, en étudiant aussi l'évolution du discours sur l'IA depuis 2015. Dans un deuxième temps, nous analysons le discours de radiologues face à l'arrivée d'applications qui se revendiquent de l'IA dans leur domaine, en montrant que malgré l'absence de traduction concrète de la menace en termes de remplacement, des effets se sont donnés à voir (injonction à s'approprier l'IA, doutes chez les apprentis médecins au moment du choix de la spécialité, etc.).
