Abstract

Este estudio analiza el estado de la implementación de políticas de nutrición y alimentación en México, utilizando como marco de referencia las recomendaciones emitidas en 2020 por la OMS, UNICEF, FAO, OPS y el INSP. La investigación evalúa el avance en las dos líneas de acción planteadas por estos organismos: la atención en salud y nutrición con énfasis en los primeros 1,000 días, y el desarrollo de entornos saludables para la alimentación, consumo de agua y actividad física. Mediante el análisis de 40 indicadores seleccionados de fuentes de datos públicas, se logró una cobertura del 41.7% para la primera línea de acción y del 34.9% para la segunda, lo que permite conocer los avances y retos pendientes en materia de nutrición y alimentación. El estudio también documenta avances en áreas como la atención prenatal y la suplementación nutricional, persistiendo importantes brechas regionales, especialmente en la zona sur del país. Esta investigación proporciona información valiosa para orientar políticas públicas destinadas a mejorar la nutrición materno-infantil y adolescente en México.
