Abstract

Les investissement en R-D permettent de creer des produits qui peuvent etre fabriques de facon plus efficiente. Les activites de R-D exercent donc une influence sur le niveau de vie. La dimension strategique des activites de R-D s'explique donc en bonne partie par le fait que l'accumulation de capital de R-D comporte un aspect de bien public. Notre etude vise a examiner la portee des retombees intersectorielles et intrasectorielles de la R-D entre les industries canadiennes et americaines et a determiner les effets de ces retombees sur les couts de production, l'intensite en facteurs et la croissance de la productivite.
