Abstract

Conclusiones de las reuniones de expertos con el fin de orientar las operaciones censales de 1980, referidas al procesamiento de los datos censales. Este aspecto ha sido sin duda el "cuello de botella" de las diversas etapas en que puede dividirse la operacion censal. La explicacion de ello se basa en tres aspectos: la falta de personal experimentado; los errores o decisiones equivocadas tomadas en etapas previas que afectan y repercuten en la de procesamiento; y la carencia de equipo de procesamiento adecuado. Se analizan los siguientes aspectos: critica manual de los datos; traspaso de la informacion a un medio de acceso a la computadora (digitacion); la deteccion y correccion de errores en los datos originales, describiendose los tipos de errores, la forma de detectarlos y otros aspectos relacionados; y la tabulacion.
