Características del empleo rural no agrícola en América Latina con énfasis en los servicios

Abstract

Sobre la base de información proveniente de las encuestas de hogares de 15 países que, juntos representan al 85% de la población rural de América Latina, se da una mirada detallada al empleo rural y, específicamente, a las ramas de actividad que conforman el empleo rural no agrícola. Al mismo tiempo, se analizan las características de las personas ocupadas y se destacan las diferencias en términos de perfiles de edad, educación y sexo, así como de .categorías ocupacionales. Por lo tanto el documento aporta una mirada sobre el empleo rural inédita a la fecha, por la cobertura de países, detalle y manera sistemática de abordar cada ítem de modo esencialmente visual, a través de gráficos.
