Abstract

La aparición sucesiva de los tres sistemas de gestión mencionados en el título, junto con los diferentes ámbitos de aplicación de los mismos, ha llevado a que las empresas los hayan puesto en marcha de manera independiente. A pesar de las numerosas similitudes entre los objetivos y procedimientos contemplados en dichos sistemas, por razones históricas y, en muchos casos, por ser responsabilidad de diferentes departamentos, parece que las empresas no están aprovechando las posibles sinergias existentes. Asimismo, a causa de la carga de trabajo que implica la gestión independiente de los tres sistemas, las empresas están sintiendo la necesidad de encontrar fórmulas que les permitan reducirla. El objetivo de este estudio ha sido profundizar en este tema a partir de las experiencias de las siguientes compañías: AGBAR, BICC General Cable, Cognis, Ericsson, GALVASA, Grupo BSH Electrodomésticos de España, Grupo Eroski, Grupo Solvay, Tetra Pak y Transformaciones del Cinca. En este trabajo se presentan las conclusiones obtenidas sobre qué es un sistema integrado de gestión, el proceso de su implantación y las principales consideraciones que las empresas deben tener en cuenta a la hora de abordar un proyecto de estas características.
