Los modelos econométricos y el realismo económico

Abstract

El trabajo tiene por objeto analizar la utilidad de los modelos econométricos para explicar los fenómenos económicos. El documento está dividido en seis secciones: En la segunda sección se analiza la relación de la Econometría con la Teoría Económica y con otras áreas de conocimiento. Posteriormente se discuten algunas cuestiones metodológicas no resueltas en Econometría. La sección cuarta discute algunos problemas de los datos mientras que la sección quinta presenta una discusión sobre el uso que se da a la prueba de significancia en Econometría. La sección sexta revisa algunos desarrollos recientes.
