(VF)L'objet de cet article est tout d'abord, de montrer les évolutions profondes des approches théoriques en finance, puis de faire l'inventaire des apports actuels et potentiels de la théorie financière à la stratégie financière tant sur le plan académique que décisionnel. La réflexion proposée permet de présenter les orientations récentes de la recherche financière, de montrer les applications de la théorie financière à la stratégie financière et d'inister sur les dangers d'une recherche éloignée de toute préoccupation normative.(VA) The aim of this paper is first, to show the huge evolution of the different theoretical streams in finance and second, to make an inventory of present and potential contributions of financial theory to financial strategy from academi and decision-making point of views. This discussion presents recent developemnts of financial research, shows uses of financial theory for financial strategy and insists on the drawbacks of a research disconnected of all normative preoccupation.
