Abstract

[eng] Land policy is viewed in this paper as the complete taxation of the differential land rent caused by the distance from private or public facilities. This revenue is then redistributed to the agents who create this land rent, i.e., the firms or the public authorities. The agents make their decisions by expecting rationnally these transfers. The analysis of some simple models show that this kind of policy is likely to improve efficiency within a spatial economy.
