Política social para la equidad en Colombia

Abstract

A lo largo de las páginas de política social para la equidad en Colombia Miguel Urrutia Montoya y Christian Robles Báez plantean que una economía es realmente próspera solo si de manera paralela a los mercados se ejecuta un gasto social estatal que evite que amplios sectores de la población queden excluidos de sus beneficios. Los autores afirman que el crecimiento económico, el ingreso per cápita y el bienestar generalizado son mayores si más individuos participan en la economía nacional y si esta integra y comprende los aportes que diversas personas pueden hacer desde diferentes esferas, en lugar de excluirlas y marginarlas. Por ello, concluyen, disminuir la brecha de desigualdad económica en Colombia, un asunto apremiante e ineludible, solo será posible si se implementa una política social eficaz.
