Los salarios de eficiencia en el sector bananero de urabá, Colombia

Abstract

Este artículo presenta los salarios de eficiencia (SE) en el sector bananero de Urabá (Colombia), tomando en cuenta que según la literatura son considerados casi inexistentes en áreas rurales. El modelo propuesto parte de lo desarrollado por Shapiro y Stiglitz; Bulkley; Myles y otros sobre la teoría de SE. Se realizó una prueba piloto, donde se recolectó información primaria mediante una encuesta a trabajadores del sector, luego se corrió un modelo Probit, que permitió analizar el impacto de la productividad de cada trabajador en los salarios percibidos, además de variables como la sindicalización entre otras que son características propias del sector.
