Crecimiento económico y desarrollo humano en Colombia (2000 - 2010)

Abstract

En este artículo se presenta una descripción y análisis del Producto Interno Bruto (pib) y del comportamiento de los indicadores de desigualdad, nivel de vida y pobreza. En ese sentido, se realiza un análisis que permite determinar el impacto que genera el crecimiento del pib sobre el desarrollo humano en Colombia, durante el periodo comprendido entre el 2000 y 2010. Los resultados obtenidos en la investigación demuestran que durante la década el crecimiento del pib no reflejó disminución de la pobreza en la misma proporción, lo cual evidencia que esta persiste. Igualmente, en materia de distribución de la riqueza, el análisis comparativo del coeficiente de gini muestra que aún Colombia se encuentra por encima del promedio de América Latina.
