Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicaciones (TIC'S) en las empresas colombianas

Abstract

Este artículo es producto de la revisión bibliográfica sobre la utilización de las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicaciones (TIC's) y su nivel de aplicación en la industria colombiana a través del análisis de algunos estudios existentes. Para esto se parte de conceptos generales hasta llegar a los hallazgos de uso de TIC's por cada tamano de empresa. A partir de dicha revisión se observó que estas tecnologías en su mayoría contribuyen a la reducción de costos y a mejorar el flujo de información entre los actores de la misma. Los principales obstáculos para la implementación de las TIC's son los altos costos, la cultura de la organización y la inadecuada estructuración de los procesos. Con relación a su uso en Colombia, se identificó en los estudios analizados, un bajo grado de implementación en las pequenas y medianas empresas (PYMES) y un nivel medio en las grandes empresas.
