La controversia del capital y las comunidades científicas

Abstract

La controversia del capital ha sido uno de los debates más intensos en teoría económica. Cuando Joan Robinson preguntó ¿en qué unidades se mide el capital? el análisis de la teoría de la producción se vio afectado por las inconsistencias que surgen al utilizar bienes de capital heterogéneo. Este trabajo analiza la discusión entre Joan Robinson, Robert Solow y Paul Samuelson desde la perspectiva de la conformación de las comunidades científicas, utilizando algunas demostraciones formales de los modelos de cada uno de los economistas involucrados en el debate, y algunas herramientas de la filosofía de la ciencia para analizar los elementos ideológicos de la discusión.
