Abstract

ABSTRACT: This paper presents a poverty profile for Barranquilla and Soledad. With maps, the spatial distribution of population below the poverty line, of academic achievements (average years of schooling and literacy rates), labor informality, ethnic groups and immigrants is shown. The southwest and southeast of Barranquilla concentrate the most population below the poverty line, the worst academic achievements and high informality rates.
