Maestros, apropiación de TICs y desempeno escolar en Colombia

Abstract

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo ampliar la discusión en auge sobre el papel de las "Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación" (TICs) en el desempeno estudiantil. Para ello se recurre a información disponible del programa colombiano “Computadores Para Educar” (CPE). Esta investigación tiene por objetivo estudiar el efecto de la apropiación de TICs de docentes en instituciones intervenidas por el programa CPE sobre los resultados del desempeno de los estudiantes en las pruebas estatales estandarizadas, para ello se hace uso de un conjunto de datos único que permite identificar el nivel de apropiación en TICs de los docentes. Los resultados senalan que el nivel de apropiación de TICs tiene un efecto positivo de 0,022 desviaciones estándar sobre el desempeno escolar.
