Productividad total de factores a nivel empresa: producción de leche 2000-2022

Abstract

El trabajo centra atención en cambios ocurridos en uso de factores y productividad de un grupo de empresas productoras de leche en Argentina. Las mismas forman parte de los grupos CREA (Consorcios Regionales de Experimentación Agrícola). Se analiza lo ocurrido en un panel desbalanceado de unas 550 empresas (n = 3710) en el período 2000-2022. Se presentan evidencias de cambios en precios relativos, uso de factores de producción, sustitución entre tierra y capital, y evolución de Productividad Total de Factores (PTF). Para la muestra general, y considerando el período 2000-2022, se estima un aumento de PTF del orden de 1.1 por ciento por año, valor que contrasta con un aumento 0.17 por ciento hallado por Galetto y Gastaldi (2024) para un período similar, pero incluyendo empresas más representativas del sector lechero argentino en su conjunto. De ser estos resultados valederos, las empresas CREA estarían entonces logrando aumentos de eficiencia superiores al promedio de empresas lecheras argentinas.
