Realwirtschaftliche und monetäre Entwicklung im Transformationsprozess ausgewählter mittel- und osteuropäischer Länder

Abstract

Ziel dieses Beitrags ist es, den Transformationsprozess einiger mittel- und osteuropäischer Staaten unter Berücksichtigung ausgewählter realwirtschaftlicher und monetärer Aspekte zu analysieren, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf den Visegradländern sowie auf Bulgarien und Rumänien bzw. der EU-Osterweiterung II vom Januar 2007 liegt. Dabei werden sowohl binnenwirtschaftliche als auch außenwirtschaftliche Aspekte des Übergangs dieser Volkswirtschaften hin zu einer Marktwirtschaft beleuchtet. Es lässt sich mittels eines datengestützten Vergleichs der Visegradländer mit Bulgarien und Rumänien feststellen, dass ein differenziertes Bild vorliegt. Die Anpassungsfortschritte dieser Länder in der monetären Sphäre sind bislang weniger nachhaltig als im realen Bereich. Daher ergeben sich insbesondere im Hinblick auf eine künftige Mitgliedschaft in der europäischen Wirtschafts- und Währungsunion erhebliche Herausforderungen.
