El rol del sistema financiero en el nuevo modelo económico, social, comunitario y productivo

Abstract

A partir de 2006 en Bolivia se implantó un nuevo modelo económico, social, comunitario y productivo que se caracteriza por el rol protagónico que juega el Estado en la generación y redistribución de los excedentes económicos. Por su naturaleza, el sector financiero juega un papel importante para la consecución de los objetivos que establece el nuevo modelo económico. Por tanto, el Estado ha realizado modificaciones normativas para la adecuación del sistema financiero, las cuales se formalizaron con la promulgación de la Ley de Servicios Financieros y suponen un conjunto de retos para las entidades financieras y para los reguladores. Este documento analiza el desempeño del sistema financiero desde la aplicación del nuevo modelo económico y verifica el alcance de resultados alentadores en línea con los objetivos del modelo.
