Sobre los determinantes de la productividad en Uruguay: 1960-1999

Abstract

Partiendo de la tradicional contabilización de las fuentes de crecimiento, este trabajo se focaliza en la evolución de la productividad total de los factores (PTF) ocurrida en la economía uruguaya en los últimos cuarenta años. El análisis realizado permite detectar factores que han influido en el nivel de mediano plazo de dicha PTF, tales como el grado de apertura y la estabilidad económica, así como otros elementos que han jugado un rol significativo en la dinámica observada en la eficiencia con que los recursos han sido utilizados en el proceso productivo en Uruguay.
