What are the financial risks to euro area growth?
[Quels risques financiers sur la croissance en zone euro ?]

Abstract

Monetary policy decisions require a prior assessment of different economic scenarios, including the most extreme ones. Assessed on the basis of the Banque de France's Financial Conditions Index, financial risks that are likely to weigh on the distribution of future euro-area GDP growth appear limited. Les décisions de politique monétaire requièrent une évaluation préalable de différents scénarios économiques, y compris les plus extrêmes. Apprécié sur la base de l’indice des conditions financières de la Banque de France, le niveau des risques d’origine financière susceptibles de peser sur la distribution de la croissance future du PIB de la zone euro serait aujourd’hui limité.
