Uso de tiempo, salud mental y gasto del hogar: los efectos de ser cuidador en la movilidad social

Abstract

A partir de los resultados de la Encuesta ESRU de Movilidad Social en México 2023 (ESRU-EMOVI 2023) y el módulo de cuidados, la responsabilidad de ser una persona cuidadora se asocia con desventajas en los ámbitos educativo y laboral, así como con un mayor riesgo de afectaciones a la salud mental, especialmente entre quienes atienden a adultos mayores o personas con discapacidad. También se identifican impactos económicos como ajustes en el gasto, endeudamiento y cambios en las condiciones de la vivienda.
