Un enlace alternativo de los agregados de VAB y empleo de la CRE95 y la CRE00

Author

Abstract

The Spanish National Statistical Institute has recently constructed linked series that combine two successive versions of the Regional Accounts. The new series preserve the original estimates for the base year of the older series except for methodological changes. In this paper I argue that this procedure is problematic because it tends to introduce strong distortions in the data. To minimize such distortions, I construct new linked series of aggregate regional employment and value added using an alternative methodology.
