Índices de Precio Sectoriales de las Importaciones y Exportaciones Argentinas Metodología de Cálculo y Usos Alternativos

Abstract

Los índices de precio oficiales de comercio exterior de la Argentina presentan una desagregación insuficiente para hacer análisis sectoriales, así como para estimar y comparar los volúmenes comercializados de las exportaciones e importaciones. Incluso se encuentran algunas dificultades en la comparación con otros países o con otras variables económicas debido a la escasa desagregación actual. Por esta razón, el objetivo de este trabajo es presentar una metodología para el cálculo de estos índices, a partir de los datos del Sistema de consulta de comercio exterior del INDEC, los cuales tienen la limitación de no relevar precios, sino valores unitarios. Luego de presentar la metodología, se la aplicará a la serie trimestral de importaciones y exportaciones de la Argentina desagregada a dos dígitos del CIIU y se demostrará su bondad a partir de la comparación con los índices de precios Brasil.
