Abstract

De manera muy especial en esta Geografía se presenta la distribución de la producción de cosechas y ganados en la América Latina relacionándola con las necesidades de sus pueblos. En esta obra se describe el comercio entre los Estados Unidos y América Latina y se indica la relación de ese comercio con el de todo el mundo. Asimismo, en ella se presentan en forma general el clima, la vegetación y el estado de los suelos, los que son factores y condiciones y a los que en grado considerable se debe la distribución de los productos agropecuarios—lo cual da lugar a la producción de artículos propios de la Zona Templada en las fértiles llanuras de Argentina, café y cacao en los trópicos y subtrópicos, y azúcar en las ricas tierras de Cuba.
