Abstract

Excerpts from the Preface: During the more than one hundred years the National Agricultural Library has been in existence, it has acquired a notable collection of historical, agricultural, scientific, and economic books published during the sixteenth, seventeenth, and eighteenth centuries. The Library is now engaged in a program of reorganizing this collection to make it more accessible to its users. This bibliography, the first of its kind issued by the Library, includes works in the general agriculture category. Those published in Europe bear imprints prior to 1800 and those published in the United States bear imprints prior to 1830. Also included are several unique historical titles of later date.
