Efectos del Calcio sobre la Severidad del Tizón Temprano causado por Alternaria solani en Tomate (Lycopersicun esculentum)

Abstract

Con el objetivo de determinar respuestas en severidad del tizón temprano a la aplicación foliar de nitrato de Ca a un suelo fértil y a otro no fértil, se realizó el presente trabajo bajo condicion,es dé invernadero en el Centro Agronómico Tropical de Investigaéi6n y Enseñanza (CATIE), Turrialba, Costa Rica. El diseño experimental consistió en parcelas subdivididas con distribución en bloques al azar y arreglo factorial. Plantas del cultivar Dina guayabo fueron inoculadas con el hongo a los 45 y 60 días después de la siembra con una suspensión de 8,000 conidias/mJ. La severidad se determinó por el tamaño de lesión en mm2 • No hubo diferencias significativas para las fuentes y niveles de aplicación, pero sí para la interacción fuente*nivel. El menor tamaño de lesión en las hojas se produjo al aplicar nitrato de Ca en dósis 2.4 g/2 kg de suelo. En aplicación foliar se registró menor tamaño de lesión al usar nitrato de Ca a una dósis de 16 g/1 de Ca. Con relación a las posiciones de hojas en las plantas, las fuentes se comportaron de igual manera, ya que las hojas superiores mostraron menor severidad que las inferiores.
