Influencia del entorno socioeconómico en lapromoción de alumnos de una escuela secundaria técnica

Abstract

La educación secundaria en nuestro país se divide en orientada y técnica. Específicamente nos enfocamos en la educación técnica, dado que no cabe duda de su relevancia como modalidad formativa en el país debido a que prepara para la inserción en el mercado laboral, promoviendo la cultura del trabajo. Además, las exigencias propias de la modalidad y su intensa formación en ciencias básicas y exactas también fomentan y preparan a los alumnos para la consecución de estudios universitarios. Esto hace que en el sistema educativo de nivel secundario técnico cada año ingresen nuevos aspirantes con la esperanza de convertirse en futuros técnicos, mientras que solo algunos son los que consiguen alcanzar el objetivo. Otros con el paso del tiempo y por diferentes razones no consiguen finalizar los seis años que requieren estos estudios y comienzan a repetir, lo cual si se hace de forma reiterada concluye en la deserción o sin repetir simplemente abandonan. Esto nos permite vislumbrar atrasos en la educación de algunos sectores de la sociedad, que generalmente coinciden con aquellos de menos recursos económicos, sociales y culturales.
