Programas de acompañamiento familiar en la primera infancia: motivación y diseño: El Caso del Programa Mil Dias

Abstract

Durante la infancia el cerebro se desarrolla rápidamente para construir las bases de las habilidades cognitivas y conductuales necesarias para el futuro. El presente trabajo hace una revisión sobre la importancia de invertir en los primeros años de vida; realiza una revisión de políticas de acompañamiento familiar implementadas en países de América Latina como medio para promover el desarrollo del bienestar infantil, y por último se concentra en una experiencia de acompañamiento familiar implementada en el municipio de San Miguel, provincia de Buenos Aires. Se analizan similitudes y diferencias en el diseño del programa con respecto a los otros programas de la región. Se realiza una primera aproximación, con datos estadísticos secundarios, de sus efectos sobre el bienestar infantil.
