Abstract

Politische Demonstrationen sind ein Ausdruck der translokalen Lebensweise internationaler Migrant(inn)en. Beobachtungen aus Frankfurt am Main zeigen, dass die internationale Migration und die damit zunehmende Internationalisierung der städtischen Bevölkerung die Nutzung der öffentlichen Plätze als Orte der politischen Demonstration verändert. Das Internet - und dort der Bereich der Social Media - ist eine wichtige Erweiterung der politischen Demonstration auf öffentlichen Plätzen in die virtuelle Welt.
