Abstract

Die grenzüberschreitenden Beziehungen zwischen Deutschland und Frankreich wurden durch die Covid-19-Pandemie auf eine harte Probe gestellt. Insbesondere vor Ort wurden die Erfahrungen mit Grenzreglementierungen als Schock wahrgenommen. Carolin Guilmet-Fuchs, Verantwortliche für den Bereich der grenzüberschreitenden Zusammenarbeit im Regionalverband Saarbrücken, und Florence Guillemin, Geschäftsführerin des EVTZ Eurodistrict SaarMoselle, berichten in einem Gespräch über die Zeit der Pandemie in der Grenzregion, aber auch mit einem "von Berlin ausgehenden" Blick. Neben Herausforderungen diskutieren sie die Impulse und Lehren, die aus der Zeit der Gesundheitskrise gezogen wurden, sowie weitere Handlungsbedarfe für die zukünftige Zusammenarbeit. Übergreifend betonen sie hierbei die Rolle der lokalen Ebene, wo die grenzüberschreitenden Beziehungen mit Leben gefüllt werden.
