Abstract

Nach einer Phase von Stagnation und Verlusten gewinnt die Stadt Osnabrück seit einigen Jahren wieder an Einwohnern hinzu. Nach den Ursachen wird in diesem Beitrag in der Wanderungsstatistik gesucht, die die jungen Bildungswanderer als maßgebliche Träger des Wachstums ausweist. Folglich werden Universität und Hochschule Osnabrück im weiteren Verlauf auf ihre Bedeutung für eine bestehende und zukünftige Reurbanisierung zugunsten Osnabrücks untersucht. Dabei wird auch auf die Faktoren eingegangen, die die aufgezeigte Entwicklung begünstigt haben und deren Fortschreibbarkeit beeinflussen.
