Abstract

Die von der Tennet TSO GmbH geplante 380-kV-Höchstspannungsleitung Wahle-Mecklar ist ein wichtiger Baustein bei der Umsetzung der Energiewende in Deutschland. Angesichts der Raumbedeutsamkeit und der überörtlichen Bedeutung dieses geplanten Neubaus wurde in enger Zusammenarbeit in den Bundesländern Niedersachsen und Hessen jeweils ein Raumordnungsverfahren durchgeführt. Die Verfahren wurden im Mai 2010 eingeleitet und im November 2011 abgeschlossen. Für den niedersächsischen Abschnitt wurden mehrere Varianten für die Führung der Leitung von Wahle nach Mecklar im Raumordnungsverfahren auf ihre Raum-, Umwelt- und Natura 2000-Verträglichkeit geprüft. Einige Raumnutzungskonflikte führten im Verfahren zu technischen und planerischen Optimierungsvorschlägen innerhalb der Varianten, die für die landesplanerisch festgestellte Variante in den 21 Maßgaben der Landesplanerischen Feststellung festgeschrieben wurden. Die rund 230 km lange 380-kV-Leitung Wahle-Mecklar hat mittlerweile die Genehmigungsphase erreicht.
