Klimaverträglicher touristischer Verkehr und die Rolle der Raumordnung

Abstract

In den Tourismusdestinationen Deutschlands erfolgt die An- und Abreise der Urlaubsgäste vor allem mit dem privaten Pkw. Auch vor Ort ist das Auto wichtig für die Mobilität. Dies führt zu erheblichen verkehrsbedingten Umweltbelastungen mit den entsprechenden negativen Auswirkungen auf das Klima. Um diesem Trend entgegenzuwirken, bedarf es aus raumordnerischer Sicht auf allen Planungsebenen einer frühzeitigen Einbindung von Strategien und Maßnahmen, die eine klimaverträgliche Abwicklung des touristischen Verkehrs berücksichtigen. Insbesondere informelle Planungsinstrumente wie das Regionalmanagement bieten dabei aufgrund des lokalen Bezugs und seiner Umsetzungsorientierung gute Möglichkeiten, ein klimaverträgliches Mobilitätsverhalten der Urlaubsgäste zu fördern bzw. zu unterstützen.
