Abstract

Government assistance to the agricultural sector by providing opportunities for farmers to modernize their material and technical base is justified and timely. Given the limited funds available for acquiring new equipment, preferential programs offered to all agricultural organizations, including consumer cooperatives in rural areas, become highly attractive at various stages of production, storage, transportation, processing, and marketing of finished products. Preserving the competitiveness of the final product and optimizing production resources can be achieved through the repair, reconstruction, and modernization of existing equipment and agricultural machinery and through the acquisition of new, more environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and efficient alternatives. This is made possible through agricultural leasing (agroleasing). Agroleasing for agribusiness organizations, including consumer cooperatives, is part of the support program for agricultural activities in the regions of the Russian Federation and includes favorable terms for signing leasing agreements and subsequent payments. It is advisable to assess the appeal of preferential leasing offers for consumer cooperatives under current economic conditions, alongside the traditional preference of farmers for credits and loans.
