Abstract

One of the leading mechanisms for forming the global economy in recent decades has been the internationalization of trade and economic relations, which can significantly reduce production costs and increase its competitiveness. The implementation of this mechanism has been made possible through international industrial cooperation and integration, which have facilitated the creation of transnational corporations. By combining production capacities and entrepreneurial opportunities, these efforts have given rise to a truly global production network. International cooperation and integration, as two inseparable forces, not only shape the world order at the national level but also strengthen global connections and deepen the interdependence among countries. The problems of Russia’s inclusion in the production chains of international industrial cooperation are due to the fact that the system of international trade and economic relations formed based on the application of this mechanism of production organization was formed in the second half of the 20th century practically without the participation of the Soviet Union, of which the Russian Federation was a leading part. Therefore, Russia’s participation in international industrial cooperation is the leading strategic goal of the modern policy of the Russian state, the achievement of which requires a preliminary in-depth study of the currently existing organizational mechanism of international industrial cooperation, formed in the context of globalization, which in turn includes an analysis of the historical prerequisites, motives, and consequences of international industrial cooperation.
