Abstract

In a competitive environment, every economic entity, especially representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, strives to increase profitability and strengthen their market positions. The dynamic landscape compels businesses to ensure sustainable competitiveness and identify optimal strategies for achieving it. Evaluating the effectiveness of an entrepreneur’s managerial decisions relies on the calculation, analysis, and assessment of a comprehensive set of indicators. Consolidating these into an overall measure of business competitiveness provides answers regarding the sustainability of the enterprise’s development and the assurance of its competitive edge. Among the various methods for assessing competitiveness, businesses prefer those that are straightforward to calculate and interpret in the present and for future projections to determine the stability of their competitive standing. In some instances, existing competitiveness assessment methods fail to identify problematic areas in the operation and growth of the enterprise or to facilitate an objective comparison with competitors. In this research, the authors have refined the method for evaluating an enterprise’s competitive resilience to address this issue. The research aims to develop methodological approaches for assessing the degree of competitive resilience of economic entities, with the goal of determining the enterprise’s position within the industry and enhancing the objectivity of competitive analysis.
