The Role of Digitalization of Agricultural Cooperation in Increasing Industry Efficiency in the Context of Ensuring Food Security in Russia

This research explores the potential and prospects of digitalizing the agricultural sector in the context of ensuring the country’s food security. It emphasizes the priority of developing agriculture in general and agricultural cooperation in particular to enhance the efficiency of the Russian economy and secure leading positions in exporting agricultural products and mineral fertilizers. The research highlights that the advantages provided by digitalization could be decisive for agriculture, with cooperation being the most in need of digital transformation. It outlines the key aspects and prospects of digitalizing Russian agricultural enterprises and cooperatives, identifying trends and limitations, and offering a forecast for the increase in the level of digitalization within the agricultural sector. The research employs general scientific methods and specialized approaches to knowledge acquisition. The theoretical and empirical foundation of the research includes analytical materials from the Internet (official websites of ministries and agencies, legal reference systems, and expert reviews) and publications by scientists and researchers in relevant fields. A survey of representatives from agricultural enterprises in the Republic of Mordovia was conducted. Based on the findings, the research proposes key strategies for leveraging the opportunities of digitalization to enhance agricultural cooperation, thereby improving the sector’s efficiency and contributing to food security in Russia.
