Abstract

The authors established several key components to ensure the food security of the Russian Federation and its individual regions. These components include the development of measures to secure food safety and provide short-term assistance, the sustainable growth of food trade, an integrated information system for food security, and the introduction of innovations in the agricultural sector. Moreover, it is important to highlight that the advancement of food cooperatives currently addresses all established objectives swiftly, enhancing the competitiveness of their members, increasing employment opportunities, and resolving the nation’s overall food security challenges. The functioning of consumer cooperatives’ economic mechanisms, much like those of state enterprises, significantly influences their financial stability. This stability is reinforced by increasing production volumes, improving product quality, boosting labor productivity, and reducing costs. Cooperative organizations operate on the principle of efficient resource utilization, which will enhance the effectiveness of the production process in the agricultural sector. Grounded in scientific and technological progress, particularly through the adoption of new technologies, this approach will increase revenues. In turn, the reduction of material costs will ensure a substantial volume of the public product.
