Abstract

This research analyzes the history and experience of developing agricultural cooperation in three BRICS countries: Brazil, India, and China. The research aims to identify successful practices in agricultural cooperation among BRICS countries, thereby laying the foundation for mutually beneficial collaboration in this field. The research objectives are to examine the history of the formation and development of agricultural cooperatives, review the state policies of individual BRICS members aimed at supporting these cooperatives, and analyze the outcomes. The research methodology involves analyzing reporting and statistical data from international organizations, publications by Russian and international authors, and the results of international conferences and academic studies. The authors conclude that despite the shared goals, values, and principles of the cooperative movement as defined by the International Cooperative Alliance and the similar organizational mechanisms for agricultural cooperation, each country has its own unique history and concept of development. The study, synthesis, and promotion of successful practices in agricultural cooperation remain relevant, especially when the research subjects are countries that serve as key partners of Russia. This research is one part of a series dedicated to synthesizing and promoting the development experience of agricultural cooperation among BRICS countries.
