Abstract

This research presents a comprehensive study on student satisfaction with the quality of services provided by higher education institutions. The integration of various research methods enabled the authors to formulate conclusions and outline a trajectory for developing management systems in educational organizations to improve the quality of their services. Particular attention is paid to exploring ways to better meet consumer preferences, along with an attempt to present and substantiate the authors’ perspective on the concept of “quality of educational services.” The research was conducted over several years in two higher education institutions to observe the dynamics of the examined factors. Understanding these factors allows for the formulation of conclusions and the planning of measures to increase student satisfaction. In the long term, this is expected to strengthen the position of higher education institutions in the professional education market. The research also introduces the authors’ perspective on defining the beneficiary in the field of education as part of a mixed sector of the national economy. It characterizes the outcomes of education for an individual as a multifaceted effect, benefiting the recipient of the services and extending to their family members, social circle, employers, the economic sectors where the graduate is employed, regional communities, and society.
