Demand-Side Financing in Health in Low-Resource Settings

Abstract

In this chapter, we discuss the use of demand-side financing (DSF) mechanisms as a way to increase access to health services and improve health outcomes. The discussion makes use of a range of evidence including a series of systematic reviews focused on low-resource settings and detailed experience of developing DSF for maternal health in Nepal.
