Abstract

This Chapter of the book, will provide a detailed discussion on research methodologies for comparative health studies and the specific methodology used for the review summarized in this book. It includes a review of approaches to comparative health policy as a hybrid multi-disciplinary field and the need for rigor in applying a scientific method to social policy (defining clear objectives, hypothesis, research design and data collection). And, finally it discusses different analytical techniques, ranging from descriptive to quantitative.
