Abstract

The global practice pays increasing attention to cluster development of economic sectors. The clustering of economic sectors related to the agro-industrial complex is gaining relevance in Uzbekistan. Simultaneously, the formation and functioning of agro-industrial clusters require significant costs that should be minimized. Scientifically sound models of planning and development of industry clusters are required to minimize the costs of the production chain and determine the competitiveness of finished products. Based on the relevance of the research topic, the authors proposed an econometric approach to solving this problem in relation to viticulture and winemaking. Econometric models for planning and forecasting the development of agro-industrial clusters depend on the factors that characterize the industry. The development of econometric models helps reduce the risks associated with uncertainty, making it possible to develop a strategic direction of development for subjects within the viticulture and winemaking clusters. These models will enable entities within the grape-wine cluster to accurately determine their development strategy by facilitating effective planning and forecasting. The authors thoroughly examine this issue and propose a methodology for developing econometric models aimed at optimizing production, forecasting trends, and planning the development of the grape cluster.
