Abstract

The study of effective business organization in cultivated mushroom production is increasingly attracting scientific interest. Each year, more entrepreneurs consider mushroom farming as a viable business venture. However, this field requires a scientific approach to production and market management. While new entrepreneurs are drawn to the high yield potential of controlled mushroom cultivation, they also face numerous uncertainties and risks. Although the technology for cultivating mushrooms has been established for some time, it continues to evolve with new scientific discoveries to improve yields and sales. Each stage of the cultivation process involves a set of interrelated processes and unique scientific features specific to mushroom species. Therefore, the relevance of this research lies in providing a systemic and constructive guide for organizing a mushroom farming business, thereby motivating novice entrepreneurs to pursue this activity. The research presents the results of modeling the organization of a mushroom-cultivating enterprise. It defines the requirements for the company layout, including specific details for the substrate unit. The study includes calculations for the enterprise’s production capacity, as well as its raw material, energy, water, and labor requirements. The authors also show a technological process model for cultivating oyster mushrooms. Additionally, the authors conduct a technical and economic analysis of organizing a mushroom-cultivating company.
