Zur geschichtlichen Entwicklung der Mathematikdidaktik als wissenschaftlicher Disziplin

Abstract

Zusammenfassung In diesem Beitrag werden wesentliche Linien der historischen Entwicklung der Mathematikdidaktik vom 19. Jahrhundert bis zum Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts dargestellt. Dabei werden auch die gesellschaftlich-politischen Rahmenbedingungen und die soziologisch-strukturellen Entwicklungsschritte der Mathematikdidaktik (insbesondere ihre institutionelle Verankerung) berücksichtigt. – Es werden drei Zeitabschnitte mit jeweils einem charakteristischen Forschungsthema betrachtet: Die Zeit vor dem 1. Weltkrieg mit der Diskussion um die „Neuere Geometrie“, die Zeit zwischen den Weltkriegen mit der Diskussion um die Infinitesimalrechnung und die Zeit nach dem 2.Weltkrieg mit der Diskussion um die Abbildungsgeometrie. Burscheid (Universität zu Köln) danke ich für viele Gespräche, Hinweise auf Literatur, Einschätzungen von historischen Entwicklungen und einer kritischen Durchsicht des Manuskriptes.
