Abstract

Zusammenfassung Jeder Mensch wird, wenn er mit Mathematik zu tun hat, mit Darstellungen konfrontiert. Darstellungen werden genutzt, um über Mathematik zu kommunizieren, um für Lernende neue mathematische Inhalte zugänglich zu machen oder um abstrakte mathematische Beziehungen zu erforschen und zu beweisen. Die Ausbildung tragfähiger Zugänge zur Mathematik wird maßgeblich beeinflusst vom individuellen Umgang mit Darstellungen und dem gemeinschaftlichen, interaktiven Aushandeln entsprechender (Be-)Deutungen von Darstellungen. Auf der Grundlage aktueller Forschungsarbeiten widmet sich das vorliegende Kapitel diesem anspruchsvollen Wechselspiel aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven und kennzeichnet grundlegende didaktische Herausforderungen.
