Abstract

Zusammenfassung Auf der Basis von Zielen für eine Behandlung von Modellieren im Mathematikunterricht (Abschn. 13.1) werden ausgewählte Aspekte der theoretischen Diskussion zum Modellieren in der Mathematikdidaktik dargestellt unter Bezug auf historische Entwicklungen (Abschn. 13.2), u. a. theoretische Perspektiven des Modellierens und Modellierungskreisläufe. Zwei Modellierungsprobleme aus der Sekundarstufe I und II exemplifizieren dann (Abschn. 13.3) unterrichtliche Möglichkeiten zur Behandlung von Modellierungsprozessen. Nach einer Diskussion zum Konstrukt von Modellierungskompetenzen aus theoretischer Perspektive werden Möglichkeiten zu deren Förderung im Unterricht dargestellt (Abschn. 13.4). Einer Erörterung von Möglichkeiten und Grenzen des Einsatzes digitaler Medien beim Modellieren (Abschn. 13.5) schließt sich ein Überblick über Ergebnisse von empirischen Studien zum Modellieren an (Abschn. 13.6), u. a. bzgl. der Effektivität ausgewählter Lehr-/Lernumgebungen. Abschließend (Abschn. 13.7) werden spezifische Lehraktivitäten wie Modellierungstage/-wochen beschrieben.
