Über Darstellungen reflektieren

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Darstellungen sind für das mathematische Verständnis unerlässlich. Im Mathematikunterricht allgemein und auch im Sachrechnen sind die Kinder mit verschiedenen Darstellungen konfrontiert. Beispielsweise wird ihnen als Bearbeitungshilfe empfohlen, zu Textaufgaben eine grafische Darstellung anzufertigen. Dies wird jedoch von den Kindern kaum genutzt und bereitet ihnen oft Schwierigkeiten. Im Beitrag werden die Unterschiede zwischen Textaufgaben und grafischen Darstellungen sowie die Herausforderungen beim Wechsel zwischen diesen beiden Darstellungsformen herausgearbeitet. Anhand typischer Fallbeispiele wird rekonstruiert, wie Kinder in einem Unterricht, der grafische Darstellungen in Reflexionsgesprächen ins Zentrum rückt, in ihren selbst generierten grafischen Darstellungen und Erklärungen zunehmend auf mathematische Strukturen achten.
