Abstract

Zusammenfassung In der von Regeln geprägten Mathematik hat das diagrammatische Schließen beim Aufbau der und Anwenden von Mathematik einen wichtigen Stellenwert. Dieses Schließen soll daher von der Grundschule an bis hin zur Universität zentraler Bestandteil des Unterrichtens sein. Nachdem Diagramme im Gegensatz zu „abstrakten Objekten“ sinnlich wahrnehmbar sind, kann das diagrammatische Schließen vorgeführt und wie ein Handwerk gelernt werden. Im Text wird dargelegt, wie dazu Lernumgebungen gestaltet werden könnten. Besonderer Wert wird auf das Finden von neuen Diagrammen und Diagrammumformungen gelegt. In diesem Zusammenhang erweist es sich als zweckmäßig, drei Arten von Diagrammen zu verwenden: Klassische informale und computerunterstützte Diagramme. Diese Diagramme können bei mathematischen Anwendungen erfolgreich verwendet werden. Als hilfreich für Erklärungsversuche der dargelegten Vorgehensweise erweisen sich Wittgensteins Regelsicht auf die Mathematik, eine diagrammatische Realitätssicht und Teile der Semiotik nach.
